SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1: Result, Marks and Cuttoff

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the result of Combined Graduate Level (CGL)  Examination (CGLE) result on 30th October 2017.

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I)-2017 in Computer Based Mode.  The Examinations were conducted from 05th to 24th August 2017 at various Centres all over the country. 15,43,418 candidates appeared in the said Examination.

2. The Category-wise details of candidates who have qualified for Tier-II & Tier-III and cut-off applied for each category are given in the Tables below:

List-I :  Candidates qualified in Tier-I for appearing in Tier-II (Paper-I,  Paper-II, Paper-IV (General Studies (Finance & Accounts) and Tier-III

* In addition to the UR candidates shown above, 1953-OBC, 256-SC, 57-ST, 9-OH candidates are provisionally qualifying at UR Cut-off. Only candidates who had applied/possess EQ for the post of A.A.O. have been considered for Paper-IV.

List-II : Candidates qualified in Tier-I for appearing in Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II, Paper-III (Statistics)) and Tier-III

* In addition to the UR candidates shown above, 1376-OBC, 153-SC, 37ST, 7-Ex-servicemen, 5-OH, 1-VH candidates are provisionally qualifying at UR Cut-off. Only candidates who had applied/possess EQ for the post of J.S.O. have been considered for Paper-III. 

List – III : Candidates qualified in Tier-I for appearing in Tier-II (Paper-I and  Paper-II) and Tier-III

* In addition to the UR candidates shown above, 23536-OBC, 4089-SC, 1041-ST, 242-Ex-servicemen, 101-OH, 16-HH, 34-VH candidates are provisionally qualifying at UR Cut-off.

3.  On the basis of CGL(Tier-I) Exam, 2017, number of candidates provisionally qualified for  Tier-II and Tier-III are :-  

Tier-II (Paper-I and II) and Tier-III : 1,50,404 (Total candidates) 

Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III) and Tier-III: 10,311 (Only for post of JSO)

Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-IV) and Tier-III : 15,450 (Only for posts of AAO) 


4. Results in respect of ten candidates bearing the following Roll Numbers have not been declared due to Court Orders:-  

(2201026842, 2201045468, 2201062554, 2201098871, 2201105924, 2201272135, 2201293503, 2201325697, 2402006180, 2402019194)

5. Further, an analysis of the data has revealed that :-

(i) 15 candidates have appeared in the examination twice.  (ii) 47 candidates already debarred by the Commission for use of unfair means  have also appeared in this examination.

The result of these 62 candidates has not been processed. List of the 62 candidates has been placed on the website of the Commission.

7. Candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved, as per the policy of the Government must contact the respective Regional Offices of the Commission immediately if they do not belong to the category shown against their Roll numbers.

8. The Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II & Tier-III) Examination, 2017   is tentatively scheduled to be held from 21.12.2017 to 24.12.2017. The Admission Certificate of the Qualified candidates will be uploaded on the websites of the respective Regional Offices approximately 10 days before the conduct of the Tier-II/III Exams. However, the candidates who are unable to download their Admit Cards may contact the concerned Regional Offices at least 7 days before the commencement of the examination. The responsibility of ensuring the download of the Admit Cards is solely of the candidates.

9. Marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates of Tier-I will be uploaded shortly on the Commission’s website http://ssc.nic.in.

Registration for SSC CGL 2017 has started from 16th May. Candidates can apply online on the official SSC website (ssconline.nic.in). While candidates are confused about how to fill the SSC CGL 2017 application form. Here we provide the complete step by step details on how to fill the SSC CGL 2017 application form online.

SSC forms now can only be filled online. Whole registration is 3 part process.

Part-1 Registration (Optional): only for candidates those who are applying online first time for any SSC exam i.e; one time registration for all SSC exams
Part-2 Apply: Online Application fill up for SSC CGL 2017

Data Requirements for Filling SSC CGL 2017 Application From

  • Secondary Board Exam Roll Number (10th Board Examination Roll No)
  • Mobile Number

  • Photograph and Signature in jpeg format

1) If you have not applied before on ssconline.nic.in for any exam then only you will go through this process otherwise move onto Part-2 Apply- Online Application

2) Visit: http://164.100.129.99/cgl17/

3) Click on new registration.

4) Then a pop-up will open and fill all the information and click on enter button

5) Then a Staff Selection Commission – Registration for Examination form (one time registration form) will open. Fill all the details and click the submit button

6) After submitting a pop will appear with your Provisional Registration Number and Password; save these details because it will be used in future and also while filling all other SSC exam forms.
Now next step is to upload photograph and signature.

Photograph Size: 100 pixels to 120 pixels (30 kb to 50 kb)
Signature Size: 40 pixels to 60 pixels (1 kb to 12 kb)

Part – 2 Apply Part: Online Application for SSC CGL 2017

1) Once you have successfully completed Part 1, open this link and enter the registration number, password and Captcha in the the Apply Part and click on submit button as shown if image.
After that a window will open, fill all the remaining information according to your details.

2) Once the candidate has filled in all the required details in the application form, he /she will find there are three buttons at the bottom namely ‘Partial Save’ – ‘Final Submit’ – ‘Close’. If the candidate uses the close button, he /she will exit from the application form. No data/ details will be saved. If the candidate does not want to fill in the entire application form in one attempt, he can fill in partial application and by using ‘partial save’, he can save all the data/ details filled in by him. The remaining details may be filled in by him later whenever it is convenient to him.

3) Once the application form is completely filled in, the candidate should use the ‘Final Submit’ button which will save all the data/ details filled in by him and ‘payment’ window will appear.

4)Here the candidates are getting another opportunity to check fee exemption option. If the candidate is entitled for fee exemption, as per provisions of the Notice for their examination, they may exercise fee exemption ‘claim. Candidates who are not eligible for fee exemption claims, should click on ‘No’ button and proceed further to make payment by clicking ‘online’ or ‘offline’ in fee payment mode option. Once it is done, click on ‘submit’ button.

Part -3 Fee Payment: Online or Offline (Challan)

  • All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.
  • The candidates who are not exempted from paying examination fee may submit the requisite fee through State Bank of India only either in the form of challan, generated on line, or through SBI Net Banking. Payment can also be made through any Credit or Debit Card.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.

Once your click the submit button in the online application section, a pop-up will appear for fee payment. Select the fee payment mode (online or offline), enter the Captcha and click on submit button.

For Online Payment:

After clicking submit button in last step you will be directed to the online payment SBI portal.

You can also make the payment later by Clicking Make payment option on this page.

In case of online payment candidate will be redirected to Bank site with various payment option as follows and choose your gateway and make payment.

For Offline Payment (Challan) 

  • If candidate selects offline option then candidate gets a fee deposit bank challan form from the server. The format of challan form is as follows.

  • After getting challan form candidate should go to the nearest State Bank of India Branch and deposit the fee. After this candidate’s formality is completed. Bank will generate MIS Report and send it to Commission. This process takes minimum 48 hours. After 48 hours the candidate may check their application status form by clicking on ‘Check your application status here’ option on the default page.

SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has announced the tentative vacancy list for Combined Graduate Level Exam 2017 (CGL 2017). Total vacancies are 3805. Detailed vacancy list is released department wise. 700 posts for Assistant Audit Officer (AAO), 300 post for Divisional Accountant, 900 posts for Auditor, 1042 posts for Accountant/Junior Accountant. List is updated on 17/05/2017.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification on Monday, 15th May, 2017 for Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGL) 2017 for filling up the different categories of posts (non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted) in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations. Filling of online application form for CGL Tier-1 will start from 16th May, 2017 and last date for filling the form is 16th June, 2017. Candidate can apply on ssconline.nic.in.

Important Information about SSC CGL 2017

  • Exam duration for Tier-1 is 60 minutes (earlier it was 75 minutes)
  • Age will be calculated as on August 1st, 2017
  • Education Qualification will be seen as on 1st August 2017 i.e. the candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
  • Questions in Tier-I of General Intelligent & Reasoning, English Comprehension and General Awareness section will be of  a level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation  and Quantitative Aptitude will be 10th standard level
  • Question in Tier-2: Paper-I will be of 10th standard level, Paper-II of 10+2 level and Paper-III of graduation level
  • Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)is only for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax)

CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam will be held from 1st August to 20th August and Tier-2 is scheduled on 10th and 11th November. Tier-3 Descriptive Paper will be held on 21st January, 2018 and the Skill Test (Tier-4) is scheduled in February of next year.
